A conservatory
is one of the most important additions to your home and the roof
is the most important part of any conservatory. A strong but
lightweight roof is an essential requirement as it holds the
entire structure together. As well as being watertight, it has to
withstand heavy snowfalls in winter and strong sunlight in summer
to endure the worst of the British weather for many years, whilst
still looking good.
|
|
To ensure that
your conservatory is finished with the best quality and highest
performing roof possible, we are pleased to introduce the
‘ultimate’ new polycarbonate roof system. |
 |
 |
System 40 is a unique ‘Snap-Fit’ roof glazing system which is
quick and simple to install specifically designed for low pitch
and variable pitch lean-to conservatories. The Polycarbonate
roofing system incorporates 40mm ’X’ Structure reinforced glazing
panels coextruded with an ultra-violet layer which forms a barrier
against UV radiation and protects against the sun.
System 40 is the only low pitch/variable pitch roofing system
which offers a choice of panel colour with ranging light
transmissions. The glazing system is available in white or
brown/mahogany woodgrain as standard. This enables you to create
your own special environment and pleasing aesthetics inside your
conservatory. The extensive choice of colours are clear, bronze or
opal finish as well as the heat reflective ‘ATHERMIC’ option.
Athermic can reduce solar energy transmission by up to 35% in hot
sunny weather. It is possible to install internal roof blinds (if
necessary) with polycarbonate roof glazing panels.
The special marble finish of the co-extruded Polycarbonate glazing
panels offers a relaxing diffused light while maintaining a high
degree of privacy. This also minimises the sight of any external
surface debris. The roof glazing bars all have sculptured PVCu
external cappings and internal ogee claddings to give a nice
attractive and traditional appearance.

The simple design and snap-fit glazing system makes the roof quick
and easy to install. The roof pitch is variable from 2.5 degrees
to 30 degrees which means it can be installed on virtually every
type of property utilising the advantages of its slimline
construction. The factory prepared roof system is available in
various projections and widths and can be simply trimmed to exact
length or width as required on site. We can also supply
cut-to-size roofs to fix exactly.

System 40 Polycarbonate panels are manufactured from one of the
toughest and safest materials available. This coupled with the
specifically designed ‘X’ structure, offers excellent thermal
insulation properties and one of the lowest ‘U’ values for systems
of this kind. Even better than sealed triple glazed glass units.
The strength and longevity of the aluminium and PVCu glazing
system enables spans up to 5 metres projection and is so strong it
is able to provide a safe maintenance platform for house repairs
(with boards) and as a means of escape.
 |
|
During the
manufacture of System 40 Polycarbonate panels a layer of UV
absorber is coextruded onto the surface forming a barrier against
UV radiation.
System 40
panels carry a limited 10 year manufacturer’s guarantee against
discolouration, ageing and resistance to hailstones.
All
structural components in aluminium & PVCu for strength and total
weather resistance. |

Lowest
permitted pitch of 2.5 degrees with excellent water integrity.
Ideal for bungalow’s or wherever height restrictions apply.
Spans
self-supporting up to 5.4 metre projection.
Fully
variable roof pitch from 2.5° pitch to 30° pitch. |

System 40
Polycarbonate panels are light in weight and up to 200 times
stronger than glass and 10 times stronger than PVCu panels.
Heavy Duty
Structural Aluminium & PVCu glazing system for ultimate strength.
Strong
enough to be walked on as a means of escape and maintenance |

40mm ‘X’
Structure Polycarbonate panels offer the best insulation
properties available (1.4w/m2k). Much better than sealed, triple
glazed glass units.
Excellent
thermal insulation = Lower heating bills.
Good sound
insulation. |

Structured
polycarbonate sheets have been tested to most European standards
and to BS476 Part 7 and BS476 Part 6 with a Class 1 Fire Rating.
System 40
panels are classed as self-extinguishing and do not emit toxic
gasses, unlike PVCu panels.
