Strong & Lightweight Polycarbonate Roofing

Polycarbonate provides excellent impact resistance while remaining considerably lighter and easier to handle than traditional glass. The twin wall construction adds rigidity and creates an insulating air space within the sheet.

For open-sided structures such as canopies, carports and pergolas, 10mm twin wall polycarbonate provides a practical and economical roofing solution where high levels of thermal insulation are not required.

UV Protected for Exterior Use

The polycarbonate incorporates UV protection to help protect the sheet against degradation caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.

For the best long-term performance, always install the sheet with the UV-protected face towards the outside of the roof.

Installing 10mm Twin Wall Polycarbonate

The internal channels of the sheet should always run down the direction of the roof slope. This allows condensation within the sheet structure to drain correctly.

The sheet ends should be finished using suitable sealing and breather tapes together with compatible end closures. Appropriate polycarbonate glazing bars should be used between sheets, with sufficient allowance made for thermal expansion and contraction.

Clear, Bronze or Opal Polycarbonate?

Clear polycarbonate is the best choice where maximum natural daylight is required.

Bronze polycarbonate provides a tinted appearance and helps reduce solar glare, while Opal polycarbonate creates softer, diffused daylight and a more translucent appearance.
