Master Plastics (SW) Ltd – Terms of Service
1. Overview
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to the use of this website and the purchase of goods from Master Plastics (SW) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms, together with any policies referenced within them.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use this website or purchase goods from us.
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time by posting changes on the website. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
2. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK law, including but not limited to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and other applicable legislation.
3. General Terms
- All product sizes and dimensions are approximate.
- Certain products are subject to manufacturer-specific installation requirements.
- Many products include a manufacturer’s warranty. These warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not by Master Plastics (SW) Ltd.
- These Terms do not affect your statutory rights.
4. Delivery Terms
4.1 Standard Delivery
- Estimated delivery is normally within six (6) working days but is not guaranteed.
- For items over 20kg or longer than 1.5 metres, the customer must ensure adequate personnel are available to assist, in accordance with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.
- Delivery drivers are not responsible for carrying goods beyond the delivery point.
- Additional personnel can be arranged at a cost of ÂŁ100 per person per delivery.
4.2 Glass Deliveries
- Customers must provide a safe, clean, and level surface suitable for unloading glass products.
- Failure to provide suitable conditions may result in delivery being aborted and a re-delivery charge of ÂŁ20 + ÂŁ1 per mile + VAT.
- Vertical glass units carry a five-year manufacturer warranty; roof glass units carry a three-year manufacturer warranty, subject to correct handling, glazing, installation, and maintenance.
- Manufacturer warranties cover replacement units only and exclude installation, labour, scaffolding, or associated costs.
Customer Health & Safety Responsibilities
- The customer is responsible for carrying out a risk assessment prior to delivery.
- All goods, including glass and polycarbonate sheets, must be handled using appropriate safety equipment.
- Safe access must be provided, and all personnel involved must be adequately trained.
- Any safety concerns or requirements must be communicated to us prior to confirming delivery.
- We accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from unsafe handling or failure to follow appropriate safety procedures.
4.3 UK Island Deliveries
- Additional charges may apply for deliveries to UK islands.
- If additional costs exceed the original delivery charge, we reserve the right to contact you for approval or cancel the order.
5. Payment and Order Processing
- All orders must be paid in full before dispatch.
- Order confirmations are issued by email and are subject to stock availability.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders or request further information where necessary.
6. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
6.1 Cooling-Off Period (Unwanted Goods)
- You may cancel your order within 14 days of receipt for standard (non-bespoke) goods.
- Goods must be returned within 14 days of cancellation, unused, and in resaleable condition.
- Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
- Made-to-measure, bespoke, or manufactured items are non-returnable.
6.2 Damaged or Faulty Goods
- All goods must be inspected upon delivery.
- Any damage or faults must be reported within 7 days of receipt.
- Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 working days.
6.3 Manufacturer Warranties
- After 30 days from delivery, warranty claims must be made directly with the manufacturer.
- Warranties cover the product only and exclude installation, labour, scaffolding, or consequential costs.
7. Product Installation & Use
- Installation instructions must be followed at all times.
- Incorrect installation may invalidate manufacturer warranties.
- uPVC and polycarbonate materials expand and contract; allowance of ±15mm must be made.
8. Website & Online Store Use
- You must not use this website or its products for unlawful purposes.
- Transmission of viruses, malware, or malicious code is prohibited.
- Website content must not be reproduced, resold, or exploited commercially without written consent.
9. Accuracy of Information
We aim to ensure all information is accurate and current; however, we do not warrant that content is error-free, complete, or up to date.
10. Pricing & Availability
- Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products or services at any time.
11. Third-Party Tools & Links
- Third-party tools and links are provided “as-is” without warranties.
- We accept no responsibility for third-party websites, products, or services.
12. User Submissions & Feedback
- Any feedback or submissions may be used by us without compensation.
- Content must not infringe third-party rights or contain offensive or unlawful material.
13. Personal Data & GDPR
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data.
14. Limitation of Liability
- Goods and services are provided “as-is” and “as available.”
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the cost of the faulty goods supplied.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profit, revenue, or business opportunity, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, logos, images, and designs are owned by or licensed to Master Plastics (SW) Ltd. Unauthorised use is prohibited.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Master Plastics (SW) Ltd against any claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the website.
