Lightweight Alternative to Glass

Installing 10mm Twin Wall Polycarbonate

The internal channels of multiwall polycarbonate should run down the direction of the roof slope. This allows condensation within the sheet structure to drain correctly.

The sheet ends should be finished using suitable sealing and breather tapes together with compatible end closures. Correct glazing bars should be used between sheets and allowance should be made for thermal expansion and contraction.

Clear, Bronze or Opal Polycarbonate?

Opal polycarbonate is an excellent option where softer, diffused daylight and reduced glare are important.

Clear polycarbonate is best where maximum daylight is required, while Bronze polycarbonate provides a tinted appearance and helps reduce the intensity of direct sunlight.
