Strong & Lightweight Polycarbonate Roofing

Polycarbonate provides excellent impact resistance while remaining considerably lighter and easier to handle than traditional glass. The twin wall construction adds rigidity while keeping the sheet lightweight and manageable during installation.

The sheet can be cut to the required size and installed using compatible polycarbonate glazing bars, end closures, sealing tapes and suitable roofing fixings.

UV Protected Polycarbonate

The sheet incorporates UV protection for exterior use, helping protect the polycarbonate against degradation caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.

For the best long-term performance, always install the sheet with the UV-protected face positioned towards the outside of the roof and follow the correct installation instructions.

Installing 10mm Twin Wall Polycarbonate

The internal channels of the polycarbonate sheet should always run down the direction of the roof slope. This allows condensation within the channels to drain correctly.

The sheet ends should be finished using suitable sealing and breather tapes together with compatible end closures. Correct glazing bars should be used between sheets and sufficient allowance should be made for the natural thermal expansion and contraction of polycarbonate.

Clear, Bronze or Opal Polycarbonate?

Opal polycarbonate is ideal where you want plenty of natural daylight combined with softer, diffused illumination and reduced glare.

Clear polycarbonate is best where maximum daylight is the priority, while Bronze polycarbonate provides a tinted appearance and helps reduce solar brightness and glare.
