Our 10mm Opal Twin Wall Polycarbonate Sheet is a strong, lightweight roofing sheet designed to provide excellent natural daylight while helping to reduce harsh glare beneath the roof.

This large sheet measures 6000mm long x 1200mm wide x 10mm thick and is ideal for canopies, carports, pergolas, patio covers, bike shelters, sheds, covered walkways and many other outdoor roofing projects.

The opal finish diffuses incoming daylight, creating a bright but softer light beneath the roof. This makes it particularly suitable for sunny locations and south-facing installations where clear polycarbonate may allow more direct glare than required.

Strong & Lightweight Polycarbonate Roofing

Polycarbonate offers excellent impact resistance while remaining much lighter and easier to handle than traditional glass. The twin wall construction adds rigidity and creates a practical roofing sheet suitable for a wide range of domestic and commercial projects.

The sheet can be cut to the required size and installed using compatible polycarbonate glazing bars, end closures, sealing tapes and suitable roofing fixings.

UV Protected for Exterior Use

The polycarbonate incorporates a UV-protected surface designed for exterior applications, helping protect the sheet against degradation caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Always install the sheet with the UV-protected face towards the outside of the roof and remove the protective film after installation.

Installing 10mm Twin Wall Polycarbonate

The internal flutes or channels should always run down the direction of the roof slope. This allows any condensation within the channels to drain correctly.

Suitable sealing tape should be fitted to the upper end of the sheet and breather tape to the lower end before fitting the appropriate end closure. Compatible glazing bars should be used between sheets, with sufficient allowance left for the natural expansion and contraction of polycarbonate.

Clear, Bronze or Opal Polycarbonate?

Opal polycarbonate is an excellent choice where you want good natural daylight combined with a softer, diffused appearance and reduced glare.

Clear polycarbonate is better where maximum daylight is the main priority, while Bronze polycarbonate provides a tinted appearance and helps reduce solar brightness and glare.
