Strong & Lightweight Polycarbonate Roofing

Polycarbonate provides excellent impact resistance while remaining considerably lighter and easier to handle than traditional glass. The twin wall construction adds rigidity while creating an insulating air space within the sheet.

For open-sided structures such as canopies, pergolas and carports, 10mm twin wall polycarbonate provides a practical and economical roofing solution where high levels of thermal insulation are not required.

UV Protected for Exterior Use

The polycarbonate incorporates UV protection to help protect the sheet against degradation caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight, providing reliable long-term performance in exterior roofing applications.

For correct installation, the sheet should always be fitted with the UV-protected face towards the outside of the roof.

Installing 10mm Twin Wall Polycarbonate

The internal channels of the sheet should run down the direction of the roof slope. This allows condensation within the sheet structure to drain correctly.

The sheet ends should be finished using appropriate sealing and breather tapes together with compatible end closures. Suitable polycarbonate glazing bars should be used between sheets, with sufficient allowance left for the natural expansion and contraction of polycarbonate.

Clear, Bronze or Opal Polycarbonate?

Opal polycarbonate is ideal where natural daylight is required but a softer, more evenly distributed light is preferred. It also provides a more private translucent appearance beneath the roof.

Clear polycarbonate is the best choice where maximum natural light is the priority, while Bronze polycarbonate provides a tinted appearance and helps reduce solar brightness and glare.
