2m Brown Polycarbonate Glazing Bar - 10mm, 16mm & 25mm

This 2m Brown Polycarbonate Glazing Bar is a timber supported snap-down roofing bar designed for installing 10mm, 16mm or 25mm polycarbonate roofing sheets.

The glazing bar features a strong aluminium base with a snap-down plastic top cap. It is designed to be fixed onto a suitable timber rafter, providing a secure joint between adjoining polycarbonate sheets.

Each 2 metre glazing bar is supplied with one standard end cap to provide a neat finish at the bottom of the roof bar.

Timber Supported Polycarbonate Glazing Bar

This glazing bar is designed to be installed over a timber rafter or suitable timber support. The aluminium base is secured to the timber before the polycarbonate sheets are positioned and the top cover is snapped into place.

The system provides a practical way of joining adjacent polycarbonate roofing sheets while creating a neat finished appearance.

The glazing bar can be used with compatible multiwall polycarbonate sheets in several popular thicknesses:

Aluminium Base with Snap-Down Top

The 44mm wide aluminium base provides the main fixing point to the timber support. Once the polycarbonate sheets have been correctly positioned, the Brown top profile snaps down onto the base to secure and finish the glazing joint.

2 Metre Brown Glazing Bar

Each glazing bar is supplied in a 2 metre (2000mm) length. Where a shorter length is required, the bar can be cut to size during installation using suitable cutting tools such as a hacksaw.

End Cap Included

Each glazing bar is supplied with one Brown standard end cap. The end cap fits to the exposed end of the bar to provide a cleaner finished appearance.

Installation Information

The aluminium base should be securely fixed to a suitable timber rafter or supporting structure before installing the polycarbonate sheets and snap-down top profile.

The original installation specification recommends fixing the bar at approximately 300mm centres along the supporting timber. The suitability of the supporting structure, rafter spacing and fixings should always be determined for the individual roof installation.
