Strong & Lightweight Roofing

Polycarbonate offers excellent impact resistance while remaining considerably lighter and easier to handle than traditional glass. The 10mm twin wall structure adds rigidity and creates an insulating air space between the two layers.

For open-sided structures such as carports, pergolas and canopies, 10mm twin wall polycarbonate provides an economical roofing solution where the higher insulation levels of thicker multi-wall sheets are not required.

UV Protected for Exterior Use

The sheet incorporates UV protection to help protect the polycarbonate against degradation caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight, helping provide reliable long-term exterior performance.

When installing the sheet, ensure the UV-protected face is positioned towards the outside of the roof.

Installing 10mm Twin Wall Polycarbonate

The internal channels should always run down the direction of the roof slope. This allows condensation within the sheet structure to drain correctly.

The sheet ends should be finished using the appropriate sealing and breather tapes together with compatible end closures. Suitable polycarbonate glazing bars should be used between sheets, allowing sufficient space for the natural expansion and contraction of the polycarbonate.

Clear, Bronze or Opal Polycarbonate?

Bronze polycarbonate is a good choice for sunny roofs where natural daylight is wanted while reducing glare and solar brightness.

Clear polycarbonate provides the highest natural light transmission, while Opal polycarbonate creates softer, diffused daylight and provides a more translucent appearance.
