Lightweight Alternative to Glass

The sheets can be cut to the required size and installed using compatible polycarbonate glazing bars, end closures, sealing tapes and suitable fixings.

Installing 10mm Twin Wall Polycarbonate

The internal channels of multiwall polycarbonate should always run down the direction of the roof slope. This allows any condensation forming inside the channels to drain correctly.

Suitable sealing tape should be fitted to the upper end of the sheet and breather tape to the lower end, together with compatible end closures. Correct glazing bars should be used between sheets and sufficient allowance must be made for thermal expansion and contraction.

Clear, Bronze or Opal Polycarbonate?

Bronze polycarbonate is a popular choice for sunny roofs because it reduces glare and solar brightness while still allowing natural daylight beneath the structure.

Clear polycarbonate provides the highest level of natural daylight, while Opal polycarbonate produces a softer, more diffused light and provides greater privacy beneath the roof.
