Important Rooflight Measuring Information
The dimensions entered when ordering are the internal frame sizes.
The window profiles are approximately 70mm wide, so approximately 70mm must be added to each side when calculating the overall external frame dimensions.
The approximate external frame measurement will therefore be 140mm greater than the stated internal dimension in both directions.
1000mm x 2000mm Rooflight Size Example
A rooflight ordered at the maximum 1000mm x 2000mm internal frame size would have approximate dimensions of:
- Internal Frame: 1000mm x 2000mm
- Approx. External Frame: 1140mm x 2140mm
Please check the internal and external dimensions carefully before constructing the roof opening, kerb or supporting structure.
Low-E Toughened Glass Rooflight
The standard rooflight is supplied with Low-E toughened, argon-filled glazing, providing a combination of natural daylight, safety and thermal performance.
Low-E glazing incorporates a specialist coating designed to reduce heat transfer through the glass, while the argon-filled sealed units further improve the insulating performance of the glazing.
Double or Triple Glazing Options
Choose the glazing specification required for your project, with double and triple-glazed options available depending on the selected configuration.
Glazing options include:
- Low-E Toughened Glass
- Argon-Filled Sealed Units
- Double Glazing
- Triple Glazing
- Self-Cleaning Glass Upgrade
- Blue Tint Glass Upgrade
Self-Cleaning Glass Option
An optional self-cleaning glass upgrade is available to help reduce routine cleaning of the external glass surface.
This is particularly useful for rooflights positioned above extensions and other locations where regular access to the outside of the glazing may be difficult.
Blue Tint Glass Option
Blue tint glass is also available, providing an alternative appearance while maintaining the large glazed area and natural daylight provided by the rooflight.
Select your preferred glazing specification when configuring the product.
High-Performance Roof Glazing Bar System
The rooflight uses a strong roof glazing bar system designed to securely support the glass and provide a durable, weather-resistant finished roof structure.
The system is designed to provide the strength required for the glazing while helping to make assembly and installation straightforward.
Choice of Rooflight Frame Colours
Choose from a selection of frame and roof bar finishes to coordinate the rooflight with your property:
- White
- Rosewood
- Mahogany
- Light Oak
Aluminium roof bar finishes are also available in selected colours including Light Oak, Mahogany and Rosewood.
Optional Welded Cills
The rooflight can be supplied with optional welded cills to suit the selected configuration and installation requirements.
Select the appropriate cill option when configuring your made-to-measure rooflight.
Optional Guttering Pack
An optional guttering package is available where rainwater collection is required around the rooflight.
The package can include Hunter Regency guttering, downpipes, brackets, spigots and appropriate angles to create an integrated rainwater system around the structure.
Optional Cresting and Finials
Decorative cresting and finials can be added where a more traditional rooflight appearance is preferred.
These options can work particularly well on traditional extensions, conservatory-style structures and garden rooms.
Flat-Packed or Part-Assembled Rooflight
Choose the assembly option that best suits your installation:
- Flat-Packed: Supplied ready for assembly on site.
- Pre-Assembled to Glazing Stage: Main structure assembled before delivery, with the glass and finishing trims installed on site.
The most suitable option may depend on the overall dimensions, access to the installation area and your preferred installation method.
Large Glass Rooflight for Flat Roof Extensions
With an internal size of up to 1 metre x 2 metres, this rooflight provides a substantial glazed area capable of introducing natural daylight into the centre of larger rooms and extensions.
It is particularly useful where conventional windows and doors are positioned some distance from the centre of the room.
Typical applications include:
- Kitchen extensions
- Kitchen-diners
- Dining rooms
- Open-plan living areas
- Garden rooms
- Flat roof extensions
- Home renovations
- New-build projects

Because every rooflight is manufactured specifically for your order, please carefully check all dimensions and options before ordering and before constructing the supporting roof opening or kerb.
Roof preparation, felt, flashing and weatherproofing should be correctly completed as part of the installation to ensure the finished rooflight is properly integrated with the surrounding flat roof.
