10m² Glass Rooflight for Large Spaces

At its maximum dimensions, this rooflight provides approximately 10 square metres of internal glazed roof area, creating an impressive source of overhead natural daylight.

This makes the 2.5m x 4m configuration particularly suitable where a significant rooflight feature is required rather than a smaller conventional skylight.

Ideal for Large Extensions and Commercial Buildings

A 2.5m x 4m glass rooflight can work particularly well above a large kitchen, dining area or open-plan living space, allowing daylight to reach areas positioned away from external windows and doors.

The generous dimensions also make this model suitable for commercial and development projects including:

  • Large kitchen extensions
  • Open-plan kitchen and dining areas
  • Living spaces
  • Garden rooms
  • Large single-storey extensions
  • Commercial buildings
  • Offices and workplaces
  • Reception areas
  • Showrooms
  • Retail premises
  • Restaurants and hospitality spaces
  • Property developments
  • New-build projects

Important Rooflight Measuring Information

The dimensions entered when ordering are the internal frame measurements.

The surrounding profiles are approximately 70mm wide, meaning approximately 70mm must be added to each side when calculating the overall external frame dimensions.

2500mm x 4000mm Rooflight Size Example

  • Internal Frame: 2500mm x 4000mm
  • Approx. External Frame: 2640mm x 4140mm

Where optional welded cills are selected, additional allowance must be made for the overall external dimensions.

Please carefully check all dimensions before constructing the supporting roof opening, kerb or surrounding roof structure.

Low-E Toughened Glass

The standard rooflight is supplied with Low-E toughened, argon-filled glass, providing a combination of safety, natural daylight and good thermal performance.

The Low-E coating is designed to reduce heat transfer through the glazing, while the argon-filled sealed units provide additional insulation.

Double and Triple Glazing Options

Depending on the selected configuration, the rooflight can be supplied with double or triple glazing to suit the requirements of the project.

  • Low-E Toughened Glass
  • Argon-Filled Sealed Units
  • Double Glazing
  • Triple Glazing
  • Self-Cleaning Glass Upgrade
  • Blue Tint Glass Upgrade

Self-Cleaning Glass for Large Rooflights

An optional self-cleaning glass upgrade is available and can be particularly useful on a large rooflight where access to the external glazing for routine cleaning may be difficult.

For residential extensions and commercial installations with a substantial glazed roof area, self-cleaning glass can help reduce routine maintenance requirements.

Blue Tint Glass Option

Blue tint glazing is also available where a distinctive alternative to standard clear roof glazing is preferred.

Select your required glass specification when configuring the made-to-measure rooflight.

Strong Multi-Panel Roof Glazing System

A rooflight measuring up to 2.5m x 4m requires a substantial supporting structure. The glazing is divided into individual sections and securely supported by a robust roof glazing bar system.

This creates the large overall glazed roof area while providing the necessary support for the individual glass units and helping create a durable finished roof structure.

Choice of Rooflight Colours

Select from a choice of profile and roof bar finishes to coordinate the rooflight with the surrounding building:

  • White
  • Rosewood
  • Mahogany
  • Light Oak

Aluminium roof bars are also available in selected Light Oak, Mahogany and Rosewood finishes.

Optional Hunter Regency Guttering

An optional Hunter Regency guttering system can be supplied where rainwater collection is required around the rooflight.

Depending on the selected configuration, the guttering package can include:

  • Hunter Regency guttering
  • Downpipes
  • Downpipe shoes
  • Gutter spigots
  • 90° gutter angles
  • Traditional gutter brackets

Optional Cresting and Finials

Optional decorative cresting and finials can be added where a more traditional appearance is required.

Alternatively, these can be omitted for contemporary extensions and commercial projects where a cleaner appearance is preferred.

Flat-Packed or Part-Assembled Rooflight

Select the assembly option most appropriate for the installation and available site access:

  • Flat-Packed: Supplied ready for assembly on site.
  • Pre-Assembled to Glazing Stage: Main roof structure assembled before delivery, with the glass and finishing trims installed on site.

Delivery and Handling

A 2.5m x 4m rooflight is a very large made-to-measure product. Delivery access, unloading and safe handling of the components should therefore be considered before placing an order.

Please ensure there is suitable vehicle access to the delivery address and sufficient assistance available to safely unload and move the rooflight components.

Ordering Your 2.5m x 4m Glass Rooflight

Enter the required internal frame dimensions and select the glazing, colour and optional extras required for your project.

As every rooflight is manufactured specifically for your order, all dimensions should be carefully checked before ordering and before constructing the supporting roof opening or kerb.

Installation and Weatherproofing

Roof felt, flashing and surrounding weatherproofing should be correctly completed as part of the installation. The rooflight must be properly supported and integrated with the surrounding flat roof system to create a secure and weather-resistant finished installation.
