10.5m² Glass Rooflight for Large Spaces

At its maximum dimensions, this rooflight provides approximately 10.5 square metres of internal glazed roof area.

The large, near-square proportions make it particularly suitable for creating a central glazed feature above an open-plan room, extension or commercial interior.

The substantial dimensions of this rooflight make it suitable for a wide variety of larger projects, including:

  • Large kitchen extensions
  • Open-plan kitchen and dining rooms
  • Living areas
  • Garden rooms
  • Large single-storey extensions
  • Commercial buildings
  • Offices
  • Reception areas
  • Restaurants and hospitality buildings
  • Showrooms
  • Property developments
  • New-build projects

Important Rooflight Measuring Information

The dimensions entered when ordering are the internal frame dimensions.

The surrounding profiles are approximately 70mm wide, so approximately 70mm must be added to each side when calculating the overall external dimensions.

This means the approximate external frame size will be 140mm greater than the internal dimensions in both directions.

3000mm x 3500mm Rooflight Size Example

  • Internal Frame: 3000mm x 3500mm
  • Approx. External Frame: 3140mm x 3640mm

Optional welded cills will increase the finished external dimensions further and must be allowed for when preparing the supporting structure.

Please check all measurements carefully before constructing the roof opening, kerb or supporting structure.

Low-E Toughened Glass

The rooflight is supplied with Low-E toughened, argon-filled glass as standard, providing natural daylight together with good thermal performance and safety.

Low-E glazing helps reduce heat transfer through the glass, while argon gas within the sealed units provides additional insulation.

Double and Triple Glazing Options

A choice of glazing specifications allows the rooflight to be configured to suit the requirements of the project.

  • Low-E Toughened Glass
  • Argon-Filled Sealed Units
  • Double Glazing
  • Triple Glazing
  • Self-Cleaning Glass Upgrade
  • Blue Tint Glass Upgrade

Self-Cleaning Glass Upgrade

Optional self-cleaning glass is particularly useful on a large rooflight where reaching the external glass for routine cleaning can be difficult.

This makes it a popular option for large extensions and commercial rooflight installations.

Blue Tint Glass

An optional blue tint glass specification is also available, providing an alternative appearance while allowing natural daylight into the building below.

Multi-Panel Roof Glazing System

A rooflight of this size is constructed using multiple individual glass units supported by a strong roof glazing bar system.

The glazing bars divide and support the individual glass sections, allowing a substantial overall glazed roof area to be created while maintaining the required structural support.

Choice of Rooflight Colours

Choose from a selection of profile and roof bar finishes to complement the surrounding building:

  • White
  • Rosewood
  • Mahogany
  • Light Oak

Aluminium roof bars are also available in selected Light Oak, Mahogany and Rosewood finishes.

Optional Hunter Regency Guttering

An optional Hunter Regency guttering package can be supplied where a dedicated rainwater collection system is required around the rooflight.

Depending on the selected configuration, the package can include:

  • Hunter Regency guttering
  • Downpipes
  • Downpipe shoes
  • Gutter spigots
  • 90° gutter angles
  • Traditional gutter brackets

Optional Cresting and Finials

Optional cresting and finials are available where a more decorative or traditional appearance is required.

These can be omitted for contemporary extensions and commercial projects where a cleaner, simpler appearance is preferred.

Flat-Packed or Part-Assembled

Select the assembly option most appropriate for your project:

  • Flat-Packed: Supplied ready for assembly on site.
  • Pre-Assembled to Glazing Stage: The main structure is assembled prior to delivery, with the glass and finishing trims installed on site.

Delivery of Large Rooflights

This is a large and heavy made-to-measure rooflight. Suitable access and sufficient people or mechanical handling equipment must be available to safely unload and move the components.

Please consider access to the property, the size and weight of the glass units and how the rooflight components will be safely moved into their installation position before ordering.

Ordering Your Made-to-Measure Rooflight

Enter the required internal frame dimensions and select the glazing, colour and optional extras required for your project.

Because every rooflight is manufactured specifically to order, please carefully check all dimensions before ordering and before constructing the roof opening or supporting kerb.

Installation and Weatherproofing

The supporting structure must be suitable for the size and weight of the completed rooflight. Roof felt, flashing and surrounding weatherproofing should be correctly installed so that the rooflight is properly integrated with the flat roof system.
