Important Rooflight Measuring Information

The dimensions entered when ordering are the internal frame dimensions.

The surrounding profiles are approximately 70mm wide, meaning approximately 70mm must be added to each side when calculating the overall external frame dimensions.

The standard external frame size will therefore be approximately 140mm greater than the internal dimensions in each direction.

If the optional welded cill is selected, allow approximately 320mm additional overall when calculating the required space.

Please confirm all measurements before constructing the flat roof kerb or supporting structure.

Low-E Toughened Glass as Standard

The rooflight is supplied with Low-E toughened, argon-filled glass as standard, providing a combination of natural daylight, safety and thermal performance.

This is particularly important when incorporating a large area of roof glazing into a new kitchen or living extension.

Self-Cleaning Glass Option

For a large rooflight positioned above a kitchen or dining area, self-cleaning glass can be a worthwhile upgrade because access to the external glass for cleaning may be difficult.

This option can help reduce the amount of routine maintenance required to keep a large glazed roof feature looking its best.

Blue Tint Glass Option

Blue tint glass is also available and can give the rooflight a distinctive appearance while continuing to introduce plenty of natural daylight into the extension below.

Strong Multi-Panel Roof System

A rooflight of this size uses multiple individual glass units supported by a strong glazing bar system, rather than one enormous sheet of glass.

The glazing bars provide support between the individual sealed glass units while allowing the complete rooflight to create the appearance of one substantial glazed feature.

Delivery of Large Glass Rooflights

A rooflight approaching 3m x 3.5m is a substantial product. Suitable access and sufficient assistance must therefore be available for unloading and moving the rooflight components and glass.

Please consider vehicle access, unloading and how the individual components will be safely moved to the installation area before ordering.
